5.3     Dress Code
Students are to dress neatly, in good taste, and in a manner which is appropriate for the school, workplace or an out-of-school activity.
Student attire should reflect what is appropriate in the work environment and should demonstrate respect of self and others.  At no time should a students undergarments be exposed.
This specifically means that the following are NOT ACCEPTABLE:
bathing suit tops, sport bras, tube tops, low cut, halter or strapless tops.
Appropriate clothing does not expose bare backs, excessive midriffs or ANY UNDERWEAR.
Shorts, skirts and pants should allow for the comfortable and physically active lifestyle of a secondary student. For male students this specifically means underwear style or muscle shirts are not acceptable.  Boxer shorts are underwear and should not be revealed by shorts, pants, or shirts.
Above all students should use good judgement in the choices of school attire.  If you are unsure of whether an article of clothing is appropriate, it probably isnt.
Any clothing which is deemed as inappropriate or offensive, or which condones or encourages drugs, alcohol, sex, racism or violence is not allowed.  Clothing or jewelry depicting drug symbols is not permitted.   The Principal and Vice Principal of Adam Scott C.V.I. reserve the right to make additions to the dress code as necessary.
